I can treat a wide variety of conditions from the after-effects of a stroke, muscular scelerosis and Parkinson’s disease to cerebral palsy and other childhood developmental conditions (I have treated, and still treat, a number of patients from Ysgol Penmaes, Brecon).

After asking you for a full medical history, I’ll assess your musculoskeletal abilities, co-ordination, balance, proprioceptive awareness and how your brain is coping; importantly, I try to establish your individual aims and, if appropriate, parents’ aims for future improvement. I use both Bobath techniques that I learnt in Switzerland and others developed at The National Hospital for Nervous Diseases, in London, at which I worked, to give each of my patients, including children with developmental problems, an on-going package of treatments to improve their quality of life and to assist them in gaining their goals.      Many patients become depressed and stressed after a stroke, so I include a selection of relaxation techniques to help combat this and help them stay positive and forward looking. For patients unable to get out of the house I can also do home visits.
